To ensure the good performance and long-lasting use of the air polisher, as well as to help improve work efficiency and operational safety, it is necessary to maintain the equipment in accordance with the guidelines.
1. Daily maintenance
1.1 Clean the air polisher immediately after each use. Pour out the excess prophylaxis powder, then press the pedal, ventilate for about 30s to clean the residual powder in the pipeline. This will avoid clogging and prolong the service life of the air polisher.
1.2 The prophylaxis powder used in the equipment must be ensured to be dry and uniform in particles to prevent abnormal prophylaxis powder from affecting the sand output and sandblasting effect of the equipment.
2. Regular maintenance
2.1 The air polisher needs to be unclogged regularly. It can be unclogged by blowing through the nozzle with a medical spray gun or by using a sandblasting needle. If the blockage is serious, place the sandblasting handpiece in hot or boiling water for 15 minutes before unclogging.
2.2 Regularly check the condition of pipelines or sand tank pipelines to ensure that the pipelines remain dry and free from moisture.
3. Inspection and replacement of accessories
3.1 Regularly check the air polisher connector, air polisher powder tank, quick-connector and other accessories to ensure that the sealing rings at the corresponding positions are intact. If worn or damaged, they should be replaced in time to prevent affecting the scaling and sandblasting effects.
3.2 Before pouring the prophylaxis powder into the sand tank, shake it evenly according to the instructions.
4. Protection and storage
The air polisher and prophylaxis powder should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to avoid moisture and corrosion. In the meantime, the main unit, handpieces and water tank etc., should be protected to avoid impact and damage.
