  • A/B/D Maintenance Guide

    1. Daily maintenance

1.1 Please disinfect the handpiece, scaler tip, torque wrench, U file holder wrench and other accessories before each use to prevent cross infection. It is recommended to use sterilisation bags for sterilisation.

1.2 After the treatment, unscrew the scaler tip with a wrench, wipe the handpiece and the scaler tip surface with an alcohol cotton ball to remove blood stains.

1.3 After the treatment, turn off the power, ensure that the main unit is in a power-off state, wipe the surface of the equipment with clean water.

1.4 It is recommended to use pure water or distilled water, in order to reduce the blocking of the pipeline by scale.

    2. Regular maintenance

2.1 Regularly clean the water inlet, use water to flush the pipeline. Disassemble and clean the solenoid valve if possible to ensure that the pipeline is clear.

    3. Disinfection Instructions

3.1 Removable handpiece, scaler tip and wrench are sterilized at 134℃ high temperature and high pressure. Before sterilization, please use compressed air to blow away the liquid remaining in the handpiece.

3.2 When sterilizing, be sure to remove the scaler tip from the handpiece and avoid mixing it with other instruments for sterilization.

In the process of sterilising the scaler tip and handpiece together, please pay attention to any external damage to the handpiece. It is strictly forbidden to apply any protective oil on the handpiece surface.

3.3 When using alcohol for disinfection, soak a piece of clean dry gauze in 75% ethanol disinfectant, then use the gauze to wipe the surface of the part to be disinfected twice for 3 minutes. Air dry naturally or wipe any residual disinfectant off with a clean, dry cloth.

    4. Precautions for use

4.1 When a non-pressurised water source is used, the water surface of the non-pressurised water source should be more than one metre above the patient's head.

4.2 The handpiece and the tail wire socket must be kept dry when connected.

4.3 Please do not pull out the handpiece when the foot pedal is pressed and the product vibrates.

4.4 Do not use disposable scaler tips or scaler tips that do not correspond to the standard threads. Incorrect threads, roughness and rusting of the scaler tip can damage the threads of the handpiece and cause irreparable damage to the ultrasonic scaler.

4.5 It is strictly forbidden to disinfect the handpiece in the following ways: boiling the handpiece in a solution; soaking the handpiece in disinfectant such as iodine, alcohol, glutaraldehyde, etc.; baking it in an oven or microwave at high temperature.

4.6 Please do not pull the tail wire during the use of the product, in order to avoid detaching the handpiece from the tail wire socket.
